Unique 'Choboyaki' and the Two Major Styles of Okonomiyaki: Kyoto Style and Osaka Style

The signboard 'Choboyaki' is made with the ingredients as they are, currently finished on a griddle in a large size, making it easy to share and providing a satisfying experience. The crunchy texture of pickled daikon and the umami of chikuwa enhance the aroma. Okonomiyaki is prepared in two styles. The Kyoto style layers soba or udon, eggs, and a variety of ingredients, with toppings like squid, beef tendon, and cheese for depth. The Osaka style features squid, scallops, shrimp, pork, and eggs in a classic combination, offering a fluffy and light eating experience. Additionally, we offer a special yam pancake, grilled wagyu beef, and a variety of dishes, ensuring satisfaction no matter what you choose.

The Taste of Tradition and the Live Atmosphere of the Iron Plate

About a 6-minute walk from Kyujyo Station on the subway. There are 8 counter seats and 2 tables for 4 people, with a raised area in the back that has a sunken kotatsu seat for 8. The nostalgic atmosphere with a sense of tradition blends with the sounds and aromas of the iron plate. The attentive and well-paced service provided by a couple and their staff is pleasant, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a quick drink alone or to gather with family and friends without any pressure.

Inherited Flavor, Evolving 'Choboyaki'

Around 2009, we moved to our current location. The specialty 'Choboyaki', which was once grilled over charcoal, has been reimagined into a larger single piece using the same ingredients, cooked on a griddle to lock in the flavor. While maintaining the traditional taste, it has evolved into a form that can be enjoyed together in the 'now'. It is a dish filled with unchanging feelings and daily ingenuity.
